Fentanyl Strips

Unfortunately non-opioid drugs are increasingly being contaminated with a synthetic opioid called fentanyl. It is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine and is incredibly risky, especially for substance users with no opiate tolerance. This talk will explore various strategies to utilize test strips to test for fentanyl and its analogs. Fentanyl testing strips can detect fentanyl and most known analogs, including the hyper potent drug - carfentanil. However, like reagent testing, this is a harm reduction tool and should not be used as proof that a substance is “safe”.
