First Aid for Psychedelic Facilitators

This course will cover basic concepts of emergency prevention, recognition in psychedelic contexts, planning, and responses in most common types of medical emergencies.

This course will cover the following:
Common psychedelic experiences that are not emergencies
Preventing emergencies by properly screening participants
Basic elements of an emergency plan
Cardiovascular emergencies including heart attacks, chest pain, and stroke
Neurological emergencies including seizures and serotonin toxicity
Respiratory emergencies including asthma, asphyxiation, and anaphylaxis
