Description
The Fundamentals of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy will help equip providers with the foundational knowledge and skills to practice psychedelic-assisted therapy. This is a unique opportunity to learn and interact with our established Numinus practitioners as they share their real-life experiences in providing integrative and transformative mental wellness. This training is open to both regulated and non-regulated providers, as well as empowered individuals looking to train in this field.
Fundamentals is an 8-week program where you will learn the Numinus model of care for delivering psychedelic-assisted therapy. You'll build core competencies through online pre-work, live demonstrations, group work, practice, and case-based learning. Our model of care is grounded in evidence, committed to client safety, and rooted in justice, equity, dignity, and inclusion. This unique program brings together a diversity of learners to cover all the essential skills that are needed for safe and effective psychedelic-assisted therapy. We will dive into:
The role that psychedelic-assisted therapy plays as a brief intervention within the broader healing journey
The arc of psychedelic-assisted therapy and its components (including therapeutic concepts)
Inner healing intelligence
Using language and inquiry that support deepening a patient’s inner experience and innate healing capacity
Applying psychological flexibility to acceptance and commitment therapy, ACE model, and internal family systems
Mindfulness, psychological flexibility, and embodied inquiry
Spiritual intelligence, trust, and working with altered states of consciousness
Burnout, vicarious trauma, transference, and countertransference
