Apollo Neuroscience is seeking a self-motivated Brand Designer to support our Marketing team and drive brand design initiatives. Apollo Neuroscience’s debut product, Apollo Neuro, is a wearable that helps people manage their stress more effectively by delivering novel touch therapy (felt as gentle waves of vibration) that stimulates the “rest and digest” parasympathetic nervous response and restores balance to the body. Our mission at Apollo Neuroscience is to empower people to take control of their health.
As a Brand Designer, you’ll help define and create high-visibility branding projects across Apollo Neuroscience’s marketing initiatives. From working closely with our Marketing team to analyze customer behaviors to leading design initiatives on a refresh of our website, you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact brand projects and marketing campaigns that are helping shape the future of wellness technologies. As our first full-time brand designer hire, there is tremendous opportunity to grow. This will be a full-time, remote role as a member of the Design team and reports to the Product Director. Apollo Neuroscience is based in Pittsburgh, PA and San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities
- Own the Apollo Neuroscience brand visual identity, defining and evolving brand expression through design and ensuring consistency across touchpoints
- Work with Marketing on all web initiatives, including landing pages, redesigns and rebranding initiatives Support conversion rate optimization efforts to drive revenue
- Support customer onboarding and retention efforts
- Create design deliverables for email, performance media, content, and partner marketing campaigns
- Help evolve the Apollo Neuroscience brand system through style guides, templates, iconography, typography, and visual imagery
- Develop sales and customer education collateral
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in marketing design, ideally in tech, science or wellness
- High level of comfort working in a fast-paced environment with high autonomy
- Confidence in presenting new points of view to evolve the brand to a better place
- You're very comfortable managing competing priorities, juggling multiple projects at one time and seeing them through to completion
- An online portfolio with marketing design samples (digital, UX, and print)
- Experience selecting and managing production initiatives with outside vendors for video and photography assets
- An eye for detail and the desire to push your work
- Ability to validate and de-risk a design
- Ability to sometimes work on broad, loosely defined concepts, and sometimes on well-planned, narrowly defined features
- Ability to explain your work, process, and decisions
- Ability to seek feedback, run tests, and report/analyze findings
- Ability to help develop and expand brand design patterns and systems

- Knowledge of health and wellness trends
- Background working with biohackers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, wellness influencers, and other early adopters of new health technologies
- An online portfolio with app design samples
- Animation experience
- Illustration experience
- Front-end development experience
