Background Fireside Project is a non-profit organization that will operate the Psychedelic Peer Support Line. When the support line goes live on April 14, 2021, it will be the first ever peer support line that’s specifically aimed at helping people navigate psychedelic experiences. At Fireside Project, we are deeply passionate about the psychedelic movement, and we are all working to create a world where a world where every person feels safe, supported, and seen during and after their psychedelic experiences so they can use those experiences to live richer, healthier, more joyous lives. We’d love to hire people who feel the same way! The Director of Operations will take the lead on general operations, including overseeing many aspects of the Psychedelic Peer Support Line. This includes assisting with the hiring, training, and oversight of peer support volunteers and on-call supervisors. This team member will also oversee other staff and interns, and may play a role in marketing and assist with finance. This team member will report to the Executive Director and the Cultivator of Beloved Community. Successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business, finance or a related field, and prior experience in a management or leadership position. An understanding of financial management and marketing is preferred. Duties and Responsibilities -Oversee the development and operation of the Psychedelic Peer Support Line. This includes managing the schedules of peer support volunteers and on-call supervisors; assisting with hiring; scheduling and planning trainings; revising protocols and procedures; and enforcing policies and overseeing compliance with such policies. -Assist with the hiring and management of interns, including Fireside Ambassadors as they cultivate connections with the community and create a comprehensive resource database. -Identify and address problems and opportunities and support other staff in making important policy, planning, and strategy decisions. -Research, develop and update systems, policies and protocols as needed. -Create and maintain a trusting, inclusive and effective work culture. -Organize and support Fireside Project representation at conferences and on panels and other forums. -Other tasks as needed.
