Calvin is a Vice President of Camden Partners and joined the firm in 2018. At Camden,Calvin supports investments in software, technology-enabled services, and business services companies. He also supports deal sourcing and diligence activities.
Calvin currently serves as observer on the boards of Techtonic, RedPoint Global, OutMatch, RocketDocs, and Viventium.
Calvin started his career as a systems engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford,Connecticut, where he worked on helicopter integrated vehicle health monitoring systems. He then went into the United Technologies Corporation Operations Leadership Program (OLP), a rotational program for advancing leadership in the fields of supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
Following business school, Calvin worked at a commercial bank leading small business investment programs before joining Camden Partners. Calvin has also previously interned at the White House National Economic Council, where he focused on small business policy.
In 2017, Calvin was named one of Baltimore’s 40 Under 40 by the Baltimore Business Journal. He is a past National Chair of the National Society of Black Engineers. Calvin serves on the boards of Green Street Academy Public Charter School and the Pigtown Main Street Business Association.
Calvin earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York University.
