Sarah has walked a non-traditional path in this world. She was raised in a community that did not value education of women and where her only option was to get married and have kids. She wanted something different for her future. At the age of 18 Sarah walked away from her whole social fabric. Psychedelics were introduced into her life in high school and this changed her perspective of her known reality.
" I knew that the stories presented to me weren't the only ones available and I could write my own."
Since walking away from everything she knew, Sarah has spent the duration of her adult life exploring many religions and cultures in search of community and meaning. Over the course of this exploration, she found yoga and studied the eight-fold path, took the 10 Precepts to become a lay Buddhist, participated in traditional sweat lodges of Central and South America, and traveled to Europe to learn about early mushroom cults. This was all done while pursuing a career as an economist.
Through traditional therapy, plant medicine, and deep inner person work Sarah was able to heal her family relationships and now has open commutation with her mother and was able to reconcile with her father before he passed away.
Ultimately, Sarah found a supportive community and home in the healing spaces of psychedelic communities. She is an active advocate for plant medicine in Oregon as an advisor at Plant Medicine Healing Alliance and participated in the first cohort of the, Oregon state-approved psilocybin, training program InnerTrek . Currently Sarah is working to become and ordained minister of an established entheogenic church.
With over 25 years of experience with plant medicine and psychedelics, she brings empathy, humor, and the ability to hold sacred space for her clients. The work she does with clients before and after the psilocybin journey is just as important as the journey itself.
Sarah takes care to work with each client to select the right journey for them. This can include sound healing elements, working with lunar cycles to set intentions and clear the past, or simply holding space while they go within.
